Business Network


The Business Network feature allows businesses to create connections with others, where there is a business relationship or an affiliation. The businesses within your network such as your customers, suppliers, partners and/or sponsors can be displayed in your business profile to strengthen your reputation. You can also see who other businesses are connected to, which could lead to new opportunities.

You have complete control which of your business connections to display publicly on your profile. You may decide to hide some businesses and only display others; your complete network though is always available to you.

Any network request has to be approved by the recipient business, enabling authenticated connections. Connections can be added and dropped at any time by either party.

You must have a business profile in the Business Directory to use this feature

Request for a Business Network connection
  • Browse or search the business directory for the business you wish to network with.
  • On their business profile page, select the “Add to my network” button
  • You will be directed to a confirmation page. Select your business and confirm
  • Your request will be sent by email to the business profile owner you wish to network with for approval
  • If you have a relationship or an affiliation with a business that is not in the Business Directory, invite them to set up a business profile
Responding to a Business Network connection request
  • You will receive an email that Business XYZ wishes to network with your business.
  • There will be a link to “My Network” where you can approve, or refuse, the connection
Managing your Business Network connections
  • You can manage your business network from “My Network”, under the “My vKoopia” menu
  • This page lists all the currently pending and active connections related to your business. If you have more than one business profile then your connections for each of your businesses will be listed.
  • For each business in your network you can decide to hide or display it on your business profile using the “hide/display connection” link. If you elect to display the business it will show in your business profile, in the Business directory
  • If you cancel a pending networking request that you have made which has not yet been approved
  • You can remove a business from your network by selecting the “delete connection” link. No reverting is possible when a connection is deleted
