Networking & Learning Event, 9 November 2011
Our November Networking & Learning meeting is dedicated to Government Financial Support Programs for Businesses and Computer Security.Robert Van Eyk, CEO of Ryk Oliver Corporation, an experienced consultant in small business financing and Jill Hawken, a senior Librarian with Business Services at the Ottawa Public Library will offer information and advice on Government programs for business grants & Loans.
Jill will share valuable information about the sources of Government and private funding and tips on how to go about finding useful financing information for your business. You will find that much of the information on such programs is freely available when you know where to do your research.
Robert will provide an overview of how you can take full advantage of provincial, federal and private sources of grants, loans and equity. With case studies and practical advice, you will be equipped to grow your business.
Also, for this meeting, we have invited Normal Schweitzer, a computer services expert to offer advice on how small businesses can keep their computers secure.

Innovate or Disintegrate Interactive Workshop , a fundraiser for the $1000 SBA Best Business Plan Award for the Small Medium Enterprise Program at Algonquin College, where the winner is selected Dragon’s Den style by a joint team from SBA and Algonquin. Date to be announced.
